Medical Insurance

As a condition of your student visa you are required to have organised private medical health insurance (Overseas Student Health Cover) before you arrive in Australia. You will receive your OSHC card during your few weeks of studies at TM. Most private medical health insurance for overseas students provides cover for hospital and medical treatment; however, you may have to pay a gap fee. Medical insurance for students doesn’t cover extras such as dental, physiotherapy and massage.

Airport Pickup and Accommodation Support

TM can arrange airport pickup and accommodation support on a user-pays basis for its domestic as well as international students. Students must notify us at the time of accepting the offer, for accommodation and airport pickup.

IT and Computer Support Services

Computer Laboratories
During training sessions from 8.30am to 9.00pm from Monday to Friday, students are able to access Computer Laboratories (if they are not being used by classes) or computers in the general use area, to do assessments and related work. Computer assistance is provided by staff from Information Technology (IT) Department.
All students are provided with an access code and a personally created password at the time of their enrolment as a new student.
For students who have their own laptop/note book, an individual access code can be set up by the IT Support Services so that the students can have wireless Internet access when they are on campus.

Study Skills Workshops

Study skills workshops are available to help students learn how to succeed in their studies. (Learning Assistance).

Students are taught and guided in improving their learning, literacy and numeracy skills in order to be competent and meet the requirements of each unit of competencies in their courses.

Assistance with Assignments

One-to-one assistance with assignments and assessment tasks is provided and students are required to makes an appointment with Learning Assistance Centre to utilise this service.

Personal / welfare counselling

This is available, by appointment, from the Student Welfare Counsellor.

Assistance with CVs

This is available from the Learning Assistance Centre – by appointment. (Learning Assistance)
